My Approach & Training

When it comes to your health and overall well-being, it’s important to have a knowledgeable professional you can turn to.  Over the years, I’ve provided counselling and psychotherapy services to individuals throughout the Toronto and Kitchener/ Waterloo area. I received my Master of Social Work degree from Windsor University. I am trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Psychodynamic Therapy.

Before embarking on my career as a therapist, I worked in many different settings as a social worker and mental health counsellor. My journey led me through various settings including inpatient substance use facilities, psychiatric units, community mental health organizations, and homeless shelters. Through these experiences, I've gained invaluable insights into the complexities of human struggles and resilience, which I now bring to my therapeutic practice.
I use an integrative approach, meaning that I use a combination of therapeutic techniques depending on your goals! Through a personalized and collaborative approach, we will discuss what works best for you and tailor our sessions to meet your unique needs. It's important for me to understand your needs and goals and what you hope to gain from your therapeutic experience. 

I firmly believe that the quality of the relationship you cultivate with your therapist plays a pivotal role in the success of your therapy journey. Feeling at ease and connected with your therapist is vital.
