Who is
Vanessa Bauer?

I am a registered Social Worker (OCSWSSW) and psychotherapist who has been working in the mental health field for over seven years in various mental health settings. As a clinical social worker, I work primarily with individual’s struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, substance use issues, emotional difficulties and interpersonal conflicts. We will likely be a good fit if you are interested in deepening your self-awareness and developing new copings skills. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about my practice or want to determine if I am the right fit for you.

I work collaboratively with individuals utilizing Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectic Behaviour Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I have also trained in Solution-Focused Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy. I practice from a holistic approach to determine the best approach for you as each of these therapies have different strengths and limitations. Ensuring that your needs are met and that you get the most of our time together is extremely important to me.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy travelling, cooking, reading and being outdoors. You can often find me going for hikes, bike rides, or camping during my time off.
